Why join HTCIA?
HTCIA is the largest non-profit professional International organization devoted to the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of crimes involving advanced technologies. Chapters have monthly or at least quarterly meetings where topics of concern are presented and discussed and networking opportunities occur. In addition to chapter meetings, regional training events occur and there is an Annual International Conference and Exposition. HTCIA membership also affords discounts at its training events and other venues (HTCIA Star Supporters). HTCIA also has other networking and information sharing resources available to members.

What occurs at the regional and International Annual Conference events?

Major experts from law enforcement and corporations involved in high tech investigations and forensics. These experts have the expertise, education, and experience that puts them on the "cutting edge" of advance technology investigations.
What other networking opportunities are available to HTCIA members?
Members have access to the HTCIA List Serve to post and reply to questions. Additionally, HTCIA members can search the Members Only Area to obtain contact information for members through out the organization.
What is the Members Only Area?
This area is restricted to members and allows the entire membership to obtain information on presentations, publications, contacts, and other material vital to HTCIA.
How do I find someone to sponsor me to become an HTCIA member?
First, search under Current Chapters for a Chapter in your area and visit their website. Make contact with the Chapter officers and request contact so you may obtain a sponsor. If no Chapter is located in your area send an e-mail to the 2ndvp@htcia.org and we will assist you.
Does HTCIA investigate high tech crimes?
NO. HTCIA is a non-profit professional organization. We focus on education in the field of high tech investigations, specifically networking and training of professionals.
